The demolition of DisneyQuest has begun at Disney Springs making way for entirely new offering called The NBA Experience.
Work has finally begun with the full demolition of the former DisneyQuest building located at the West Side of Disney Springs. Originally announced in June of 2015 via the Disney Parks Blog, it was stated that "The NBA Experience is going to be a one-of-a-kind destination featuring hands-on activities that put families and guests of all ages right in the middle of NBA game action. You’ll be able to explore inside the world of professional basketball with numerous interactive experiences and enjoy a restaurant and retail store."
These photos were taken on September 21st and you can start to see the progress that's been made - and prep work for the full removal of this once iconic building along the skyline of the former Downtown Disney, now Disney Springs.
The side facing Cirque is prepped with orange spray paint to help the crews control the demolition.
