Epcot's Space Themed Restaurant On Track for Late 2019 Opening

Plans were first unveiled back at the D23 Expo in 2017 for a new type of restaurant experience, and just a few weeks ago at this past D23 Expo, it was announced that it’s on track to open later this year. This new table-service venue has been officially named SPACE 220 and is adjacent to the Mission: SPACE attraction in Epcot. When dining there, guests will be invited to travel into space for their amazing dining experiences amongst the stars. It will literally be out of this world and being billed with “great meals and an even greater view.”

The restaurant will be operated by the Patina Group, which already operates several world class restaurants around Walt Disney World and Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort. Here’s a few of our favorites we want to namedrop because they will absolutely change the way you experience food; Maria & Enzo’s, Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs, Via Napoli at Epcot and Catal at Downtown Disney in California. Did I mention Maria and Enzo’s? Best to say it once more since it’s one of the top 3 restaurants in Orlando and my personal favorite.

With Patina Group at the helm of this culinary space ship, expect only the best. The company prides itself on excelling with ingredients, experiences and hospitality which is why I always brag about their restaurants. It’s also why I expect that this restaurant will send you to the moon and back on a flavor filled journey.

Keep your eyes open for more announcements coming later this year.
